Front page kanji menu alignment fixed

Posted in fixes at 1:47 am by Chris

the front page is fixedThanks to everyone who pointed out that the image map on the front page was all screwed up on certain browsers; I spotted that myself a little while ago but was dreading having to sort it out as it was using an intricate javascript-rollover-sliced-image-map which was approximately twenty times more complicated than it needed to be.

Anyway, the whole thing’s been ripped out and replaced with a single image-map. It doesn’t rollover any more (aww) and it’s still a bit of a search-engine-unfriendly, late-nineties throwback, but it’ll do for now.

    1. Thanks! Thanks a million for this site! I’ve never before seen a site that does what this site does so focusedly, so well, and so cost-free for the user all at once. You’re a very generous man!

    2. If you’re ever feeling even more generous… :-)
    – how about a random hiragana/katakana presenter (”flashcarder”) like the ones for kanji?
