About The Kanji SITE Blog

The Kanji SITE blog is… wait for it… a blog… about… The Kanji SITE. Bet you never saw that one coming, huh?

The Kanji SITE is a detailed guide to hundreds of kanji, pictograms of Chinese origin, as used in modern Japanese. It’s geared specifically towards those studying for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in December of each year, but should also be useful for general students of the language, or even people with a casual interest in the language.

This blog replaces the previous Status page, and I’ll try to make sure that I post details here of all updates to the site. If you use an RSS reader, you can subscribe to this blog’s feed. (Click here to learn more about RSS and news feeds.) There’s also an e-mail list you can sign up for here, though I may phase this out in favour of the blog eventually.

The blog is a standard WordPress installation, using a slight modification of the Ocadia theme created by Becca Wei. The blog and the main site are hosted with DreamHost, whom I cannot recommend strongly enough if you’re in the market for a webhost. If you use this link to sign up with them, I get a biscuit or something. There’s no need to say I sent you - it’s a magic link. Knock yourselves out.

So, welcome to The Kanji SITE; I hope you find what you’re looking for.
